The occupying military of genocidal Sri Lanka has hurriedly burnt and destroyed the remaining traces of a newly discovered makeshift torture chamber within the recently released lands in Valikaamam North in Jaffna at a locality known as Pazhai-Veemankaamam. Tamil journalists filmed the locality a few days ago. After the video evidence was published, the SL Defence Ministry in Colombo instructed its military at Palaali to remove the traces of the torture chamber, informed sources in Jaffna told TamilNet on Wednesday. In the meantime, former TNA Parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran and Valikaamam North Deputy Chairman of Divisional Council S. Shageevan, have blamed Maithiripala - Ranil regime in Colombo for removing the crucial evidences instead of protecting the alleged traces that need to be investigated.

The traces of yet another torture chamber that was operated by the SL military intelligence were exposed a few days ago when some of the lands in the former High Security Zone in Valikaamam North became accessible to the public at Pazhai-Veemankaamam.

An abandoned torture chamber with barbed-wire roof and signs limiting access to intelligence personnel and commanders of the SL military was witnessed by the journalists who accessed the property together with the public.

Following the exposure of the site in the local media, the SL military under instruction from Colombo, entered the house and burnt down key evidence material at the location on Monday, news sources in Jaffna said.

A similar makeshift torture chamber was also discovered at Vara'ni in Jaffna in 2015.

The unfolding events following the regime change that took place in 2015 have not only exposed the real international abetters of Colombo's genocide against the nation of Eezham Tamils and the failure of the IC to invoke the R2P doctrine to protect the Tamils from genocidal onslaught, but the post-2009 discourse has also identified the culprits who are complicit in the concealment of the evidences of the genocide, Tamil activists in Jaffna commented.

Meanwhile, genocidal Sri Lanka's president Maithiripala Sirisena is reluctant to release Tamil political prisoners ‘due to political reasons’, news reports in Colombo said. Whether this is also the part of the programme to prevent evidences coming out or to make the sources of the evidence to compromise, asked Tamil political observers after seeing how busily the occupying Sinhala military is engaged in removing every remaining traces of genocide.
