Mannaar Bishop in his statement said that the justice has failed in the island and armed men have gone on rampage creating tension and fear among the people in the North.

The international community should come forward to put a stop to this killing spree and help the Tamil people to get justice and liberation, the Bishop has further stated.

Two persons in civil, believed to be members of the SL military intelligence unit, had entered his house and shot him through his ears on Wednesday evening while he was engaged in brick making with his relatives to construct his house under the Indian aid at Ve'l'laangku'lam in Mannaar district.
